Programs that provide individualized support for children with serious emotional disturbances who are eligible for the Iowa Medicaid Children's Mental Health Waiver. Provided under the guidance of mental health professionals, practical skills are modeled and coached to help children and families build emotional resilience, manage stress, and strengthen social-emotional skills. Services may include therapeutic strategies such as crisis planning, medication management skills, personal care skills, and social integration, and can be delivered to the child, family members, or the family unit in the home or in the community.
